On Saturday, June 11, Roeslein employees and their families gathered to play in the 6th Annual Civil Giving Wiffle Ball tournament. Put on by Civil Design Inc.’s charitable initiative, Civil Giving, the event raised $17,470 that will directly benefit the afterschool and summer programs at the Soulard and Dutchtown campuses of Gene Slay’s Boys & Girls Club.

Roeslein organized two teams to play in the tournament and donated cases of canned water from Canned Water 4 Kids. Co-Chair of the Roeslein Way’s Wellness Committee, Madeline Hammel, spearheaded Roeslein’s participation in the event.  Roeslein participates in charity wiffle ball tournament

“Roeslein had a great time participating in the tournament this year, with one of our teams making it to the semi-finals,” said Madeline. “It’s fun meeting people from other companies and getting to know coworkers outside of work. We were excited to donate the CW4k aluminum water bottles this year & look forward to coming back to win it all next year!”

Gene Slay’s Boys & Girls Club aims to improve the lives of under-resourced and underserved youth by equipping them with the skills they need to make good choices and achieve long-term stability and success.
