On October 12th, Roeslein & Associates hosted its 2017 Open House in Red Bud, IL. Through the duration of the event, attendees were given guided tours around Roeslein’s modular fabrication facility followed by a casual luncheon to close out the day.

Roeslein’s Vice President and CFO, Brian Sneed, commented, “On behalf of the entire Roeslein Employee Ownership organization, we would like to thank everyone who attended our open house. This event allowed us to showcase our products which are made possible through the outstanding collaboration between our customers, suppliers and employee-owners. We continue to invest in our future with the expansion of our European operation as well as improving our quality and output in Red Bud with the implementation of automated machinery. We appreciate your attendance and look forward to our continued business partnership.”

During the tour, attendees were able to walk through each department and watch demonstrations on Roeslein’s new systems: the Bystronic Fiber Laser Cutting Table and the Voortman Beam Processor. The Bystronic Fiber Laser Cutting Table allows for additional plate work to be completed in-house that was previously outsourced while also allowing Roeslein more control of its quality and schedule. The Voortman V808 allows for enormous freedom to design and produce structures with the most complex connections and copes, while also significantly increasing production speed. In addition to these automated machines, Roeslein will be installing a Watts Pipe Cutting System in December. The W-244 Computer controlled pipe cutting machine conveys and rotates pipe from 2″ to 24″ OD with a 20′-50′ machine bed capable of supporting 500 lbs. per foot to a maximum of 10,000-20,000 lbs.

Overall, Roeslein received high marks from clients and vendors in all areas including: housekeeping and facility cleanliness, safety awareness and organization, technology and equipment, capacity and workmanship quality. Many clients remarked that they were very impressed with the growth and improvements made in both the equipment and facility over the last couple years. Overall, attendees enjoyed the day and felt that the tours were both informative and interesting to those who have not been to the facility and to those who have.
