Roeslein & Associates, Inc. summer interns teamed up with Vertical Performance, a leadership consulting company, to provide Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Illinois, with team building activities for their annual picnic.
Four interns, along with Human Resources Assistant Ashley Clapp, participated in the picnic held in Fairview Heights, IL at Moody Park. The event hosted more than 150 mentors, their families, as well as children who are on the waiting list to be assigned a mentor.
“Involvement in our community is an important part of the company culture at Roeslein and we bring that into our internship program,” said Clapp. “I’m very proud of those who were able to participate and it was a great way for them to show and build their leadership skills.”
This is the first year that the Roeslein Internship Program has incorporated a community service volunteer project into the program. Human Resources Manager Sarah Davidson says, “We look forward to creating a tradition with our interns of giving back to the community. Volunteering provides the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive.”
