Installation is phase 4 in Roeslein’s unique approach; it is the first step that takes place “in the field.”

Because Roeslein & Associates strives to achieve a clear understanding of each client’s unique goals and objectives at the start of every project, it positions its installation teams to execute with maximum effectiveness and efficiency on the job site.

The responsibility matrix we develop as part of the engineering & design phases clearly defines the responsibilities and obligations of all project participants, including the client.  As projects move from the controlled environment of one of Roeslein’s fabrication facilities to the potentially more volatile setting of the job site the responsibility matrix guarantees an efficient deployment of labor, prevents the stacking of trades on site, and allows for the best coordination of equipment delivery in concert with overall project schedules and objectives.

By identifying opportunities to apply its unique fabrication techniques, Modularization, Unitization and Preassembly, early on in the project Roeslein compounds the benefits of the thorough planning it undertakes prior to installation.  Roeslein’s preassembled unitized modular systems arrive at the job site ready to plug-in to the ongoing project site build.  Mechanical, electrical and piping connections are pre-fit and tested at its fabrication facilities in the United States and China.  This facilitates exponentially quicker integration of the unit sections into the new line construction.  Lighting, safety, and structural parameters and requirements for the equipment are pre-determined prior to its arrival on site, which results in fewer unforeseen delays and modifications during installation, as well as safer working conditions once the project is complete.

Because its project managers follow each project into the field as part of our 5-Phase Process, valuable information about the unique challenges of each particular project is not lost in the transition from Roeslein’s facilities to the field.  As part of the functional check out and commissioning process Roeslein minimizes troubleshooting and testing of equipment on the job site by performing the majority of this work during the preassembly stages at its fabrication facilities under the supervision of the project manager.

The reductions in on-site installation time, and thereby costs, that Roeslein achieves with its unique 5-Phase Process are illustrated when the phases of a typical project timeline are graphed and compared to the more traditional approaches of its competitors. As projects move into the field for the installation phase and begin accruing labor and other cost expenditures at higher and sometimes less efficient rates, these scheduling efficiencies translate into significant value for the client without sacrificing the high quality of Roeslein’s product.  By deploying labor and resources in the most time and cost-effective way possible during what is often the most costly and unpredictable part of the project Roeslein’s 5-Phase Approach stands apart from the approaches of most other EPC and design-build firms and delivers significant cost savings to its clients.
