Roeslein systems engineer Tom Funk holds an annual chili cook-off to raise money for pancreatic cancer in honor of his late mother, Denice Funk. This year’s event included a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, frozen margarita stand, and a baked goods sale.

The second annual ‘Momma Dee’s Chili Cook-Off’ charity event was an enormous success and raised $5,104 for the Hirschberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Through the Roeslein Way’s Charitable Giving Committee, the company matched the money raised at the event, increasing the total amount donated to $10,208.

“While making the winning announcements, I recapped how much we contributed from last year’s event with Roeslein’s matching gift,” said Tom. “In total, we will have contributed over $20,000 towards pancreatic cancer research in two years, which is something to smile about. It is a fun time for a good cause.”

This donation was made possible by The Roeslein Way.
