On October 31, Roeslein & Associates, Inc. celebrated the one-year acquisition anniversary of Sager Metal Strip Company (Sager) in Michigan City, Indiana. The move adds an additional 100,000 square feet of conveyance fabrication space and expanded from 30 full-time employees to 43.

25 years leading up to the acquisition, Roeslein and Sager maintained a close working relationship. Acquiring Sager fits into Roeslein’s strategic vision to establish Roeslein as a global leader while better serving clients in a time when the global demand for aluminum beverage cans is unprecedented. The acquisition allows Roeslein to further expand production capabilities for the Pride Conveyance line of products and services.

Alex Strelinski had been with the Sager team for over 10 years and now fulfills the role as Operations Manager at Roeslein Michigan City (RMC). He states, “As we approach our 1-year anniversary, I would like to thank our entire team here at RMC for their commendable performance during this past year. Our team is a true reflection of our company’s success. I believe that our success can be attributed to a wholehearted commitment to our core values and the One Roeslein mentality. I am very proud of what our team has accomplished in just 1 years’ time.”

Roeslein Michigan City offers the Pride Conveyance Systems line of products and is growing its conveyance capacities to meet global demand for aluminum beverage cans. The location is increasing staffing, product offerings, and manufacturing capacity. Equipment and trainings will continue to be installed in line with Pride product value offering.

Jerry Eapmon started with Sager Metal Strip Company in 1979 and transitioned into the role of Production Manager when Roeslein acquired the company. When the acquisition was finalized, he stated, “Being a part of a global organization is an exciting opportunity for my team. Not only are we coming in as employee-owners, but we will also have access to greater resources to serve our current client base.”

Contributing to the surrounding communities is an important part of Roeslein Michigan City’s culture. Recently, it donated a Miller 252 welder to help local high school students and is working with the school’s career center to establish an internship program. The facility continuously works on recruitment and educating employees on Roeslein’s career path opportunities and competitive wages and benefits.

Roeslein’s other manufacturing facilities located in Red Bud, Illinois; Hollister, California; Dębno, Poland; Shanghai, China; and São Paulo, Brazil are also experiencing high demand and have expansion plans in place.

Roeslein & Associates was founded in 1990, specializing in engineering, modular fabrication, and construction services. The company has product offerings in both the container manufacturing industry and the process and energy sectors with annual revenues over $630 million.
