Roeslein’s Wellness Program and Community Service Committee teamed up with ImpactLife to hold a blood drive for employees working in the Roeslein’s St. Louis office. The blood drive was held from 7:30 am – 11:00 am on Monday, September 13, 2021.

ImpactLife supplied a donor bus for the event and parked in the lot of the office building at 9200 Watson Road, St. Louis, Missouri. Employees were able to make an appointment through ImpactLife’s website, or walk-ins were an option. As an incentive, donors were given the option to receive a retro t-shirt or a gift card.

Madeline Hammel, Procurement Manager and a Committee Lead of the Wellness Program, helped organize the donor event. She stated, “Giving blood is a simple act with a big impact. We filled all available donation appointments, which can save as many as 63 lives. Bringing the drive to work makes donating more convenient for people. I’m happy to say we had more interest than appointments available, so we will be extending the duration of the drive when we do our next one in December.”

ImpactLife is the exclusive provider of blood products and services to more than 120 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin. ImpactLife collects blood at 20 fixed site donor centers and at more than 5,000 mobile blood drives held each year. Many blood types are in critical need of donations.
