Last week the Roeslein Way’s Wellness Committee partnered with ImpactLife to host an on-site blood drive for St. Louis office employees. ImpactLife supplied a donor bus where employees made appointments in advance to give blood.

“I try to give blood as often as possible, but sometimes life gets in the way and can make it difficult for me to schedule time outside of work,” said Community Service committee member Mollie Thompson. “I am so thankful that Roeslein provides the opportunity to give blood during work hours! Having the donor bus in our parking lot is convenient and makes the donation seamless.”

ImpactLife is a non-profit community blood center. It is the blood provider to more than 125 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, blood centers across the nation responded to almost daily changes to the blood supply. As ImpactLife looks to the future, its mission is to continue to provide a life-saving resource for communities in need. This event was made possible by the Roeslein Way. The Roeslein Way program enables employees to benefit others and challenge each other on how they contribute to making their communities a better place to work and live. Roeslein encourages all employees to volunteer their time to local community service efforts. Employees have opportunities to volunteer as a group to impact surrounding communities while building valuable coworker relationships positively.
