Servtech holds over 20 years of extensive experience in sizing, designing, and manufacturing hundreds of UL listed VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives). VFD packages come fully integrated with starters, breakers, and overloads for auxiliary loads, such as oil coolers and fans, with the option to add power distribution equipment for heat trace.

Features Include:

  • Low & medium voltage applications, ranging from 20Hp - 5,000Hp+ applications

  • High-end 930-AMP, 480 VAC active front-end packages for electric driven gas-lift compression

  • Harsh climate powder-coated Nema 3R designs

  • Forkliftable steel skid with outriggers for easy deployment on-site

  • Variety of options, such as innovative cooling features and active front-end technologies

Active Front End Technology Benefits:

  • Lowest harmonic signature at all speeds and loads – meeting IEEE519
  • Fewer components and points of failure of a 6-pulse drive with a passive harmonic filter or multi-pulse drive with phase shifting transformer
  • Compact design & much smaller footprint with the most flexibility for site layouts
  • Drives are capable of +10/-15% input voltage range, making it useful when drives are on power grids where power may be unstable
  • Significantly increases efficiency and decreases energy costs over the lifetime of the drive – up to 20% energy savings

Innovative Cooling Feature Options:

  • The VFD electronic section can be isolated from drive heat sinks
  • The electronic unit of VFD, power distribution equipment, and control equipment will be cooled using air-to-air heat exchangers mounted to the enclosure doors
  • No outside air is used to cool sections of the drives, preventing dust, moisture, and debris from collecting in the critical area of the drive enclosures
  • Drive heat sinks exit out of the electronic section of the enclosure, then housed in a panel using forced air cooling
