Roeslein celebrates substantial safety milestones at Roeslein Michigan City (RMC) and Roeslein Modular Fabrication (RMF).
Roeslein Modular Fabrication (RMF) will hit 2000 days without a lost time injury on December 13, 2021 while also celebrating the 15 year anniversary of the facility. In 2006, RMF opened in Red Bud, Illinois with a handful of employees. Today the establishment holds over 200 employee-owners that help serve customers in the Renewable Natural Gas; Process and Industrial; and D&I can industries.
Roeslein Michigan City (RMC), formerly Sager Metal Strip Company, has worked one year without a recordable injury or lost time case as they reach their one-year anniversary with the Roeslein family. Since the acquisition, Roeslein immediately established a safety presence at the facility to help, coach, and teach employees Roeslein’s global safety standards. Brendan Georgeff, EHS Specialist for Roeslein & Associates, travels to RMC to conduct safety trainings, inspections, and maintenance programs. Members of RMC’s extended leadership team, Rob Campbell, Brian Hanger, Mike Umbdenstock, and Amber Oliver, attended the one-year anniversary and milestone celebration earlier this month.
Ryan Kirkpatrick, EHS Director for Roeslein & Associates, emphasizes the importance of these safety milestones. He states, “It is very rare that we reach these in the industry that we are in. When we hit these milestones at our manufacturing facilities, it shows we are doing something right. It’s a unified vision for us. Regardless of how large and diverse our company is, our executive team always asks me how an employee is doing and what we can do to help them when an instance occurs. This has been consistent for my seven years of being with Roeslein and it is one of the things I hold dear.”
Reaching safety milestones showcases a company as top tier in safety and injury management. These achievements lead to higher retention rates, reduced EMR and insurance costs, and assures that employees are safe while not losing time from work. Roeslein has global safety standards, such as proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and facility guidelines, that are implemented to assist in reaching these goals while following the One Roeslein mentality and Roeslein ethos.
Roeslein’s other manufacturing facilities located in Hollister, California; Dębno, Poland; Shanghai, China; and São Paulo, Brazil are also following Roeslein’s strategic safety protocols to ensure that employees are safe.
