Roeslein & Associates, Inc. is working with global canmaking client Silgan Containers on the construction of a Greenfield Can Plant in Burlington, Iowa.
For the project, Roeslein will provide a full turnkey scope of work including site design, civil engineering, building construction and site development in addition to the modular integrated process systems the company has been building for more than 25 years. Roeslein will manage local contractors at site for the building construction as well as prepare necessary permits and licenses for the building process.
Modular fabrication of the plant’s integrated can line systems will concurrently take place at Roeslein’s 375,000 square foot fabrication facility in Red Bud, Ill. Roeslein CEO, Rudi Roeslein says, “Before we started offering building construction services, we would find that we were finished with the can line and ready to install the system, but the building wouldn’t be ready yet. It was a factor we couldn’t control. Naturally, it makes sense for us to spearhead the building process to run alongside the unitized plant fabrication so that our client would have more control over the project schedule. The goal was to start making cans faster and we can do that.”
Roeslein & Associates was founded in 1990, specializing in engineering, modular fabrication and construction services.
