Roeslein Modular Fabrication (RMF), located in Red Bud, IL achieved 1.1 million man hours without a lost-time incident (LTI). Reaching this many logged hours, for any company, is a huge accomplishment. Roeslein recognizes it as a testament to their dedication, acknowledging that this is truly an accomplishment when considering the RMF facility operates on two shifts a day, five days a week, with an average of 160 workers on the work floor at one time.
According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), an LTI occurs when an employee is injured on the job in such a way to prohibit that employee from performing their work and results in missed work time. Roeslein has recently reorganized their safety program to include additional training, daily stretching, weekly safety meetings, as well as, offering courses in First Aid and CPR certification. Since the restructure, they have seen a vast increase in their safety awareness and performance.

We could not have made it to this point without the culture our Red Bud employees have established by recognizing, and embodying, the need for preventative thinking in the workplace,” said Sydney White, EHS Specialist for Roeslein.
Roeslein will host their annual Safety Luncheon on June 29, 2016, to thank its employees and recognize this milestone. “The safety luncheon is a token of appreciation for the employees who are truly the heart of this company. We are fortunate enough to be able to give our employees a bonus and a gift for their accomplishments at this time,” said White. At the luncheon, Roeslein’s Safety Team will show a presentation recognizing achievements and project completions for the fiscal year. Following this event, Roeslein & Associates will host an all-company meeting on June 30, where the entirety of the company will be recognized for their hard work and dedication.
