Roeslein & Associates, a leading engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction (EPFC) services company with expertise in the renewable and traditional energy industries, announced the appointment of Ben Kruger as Senior Vice President of Roeslein Renewables.
Mr. Kruger brings more than 25 years of experience in the food and renewable energy sectors to Roeslein. Most recently, he led the start-up of Cargill’s North American Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) business, focusing on processing biomass and agricultural feedstocks through large-scale production facilities. He also spearheaded other successful ventures such as launching Cargill’s North American entrance into Retail Bottled Vegetable Oils, leading and scaling their North American Biodiesel business, and co-leading the build-out of their Regenerative Agriculture platform.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ben to Roeslein,” said Chris Roach, President of Roeslein Renewables. “His extensive experience in building and scaling businesses, particularly in the area of RNG, will be instrumental in driving our continued growth and leadership in this critical sector.”
Leading the Charge in RNG Expansion
This newly created role signifies Roeslein’s commitment to expanding its footprint in RNG production facilities globally. Mr. Kruger will focus on the division’s “Horizon II” strategies, which involve restoring prairie grasses to marginal lands, then sustainably harvesting the biomass as feedstock to create RNG.
Roeslein envisions restoring 30 million acres to prairie grasses and forbs in 30 years. The steps toward achieving the vision include:
- Large-Scale RNG Projects: Establishing capabilities to process diverse portfolios of agricultural feedstocks, including unlocking the potential for biomass and regenerative agriculture.
- Co-Product Revenue Streams: Developing new revenue streams for valuable co-products like biogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) and low carbon emission fertilizers.
- Strategic Partnerships: Building key partnerships to support and accelerate growth within the RNG industry.
- Cross-Business Development: Identifying and capitalizing on opportunities that leverage Roeslein with new renewable energy clients.
Roeslein Renewables: Extensive RNG Capabilities
Roeslein offers a deep understanding of the entire RNG project lifecycle. The company’s experience as both an operator and supplier results in comprehensive solutions, from biogas generation and capture to pipeline interconnects. The same reliable Biogas Upgrading Systems that have been successfully implemented in Roeslein’s own projects are available as standalone units, equipped with pre-integrated measurement tools for rapid monetization.
