This past weekend employees from Roeslein’s Manufacturing Facility in Red Bud, IL, participated in the 93rd Annual Red Bud Fireman’s Picnic. Starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, this weekend-long event raised funds that benefited Red Bud’s Volunteer Fire Department directly.
Employees celebrated with food, rides, games, and live music. Roeslein donated two pallets of water from Canned Water 4 Kids to the picnic and decorated a float for the parade on Sunday, where they handed out t-shirts, candy, frisbees, koozies, and cans of water. This float was awarded the title of first place in the decorating competition for the second year in a row.
“The annual Fireman’s picnic and parade have always been popular in Red Bud,” said plant manager Michael Umbdenstock. “We are excited to be able to help support our local Fire Department!”
This donation was made possible by The Roeslein Way. The Roeslein Way is a program that enables employees to benefit others and challenge each other on how they contribute to making their communities a better place to work and live. Roeslein encourages all employees to volunteer their time to local community service efforts. Employees have opportunities to volunteer as a group to impact surrounding communities while building valuable coworker relationships positively.
