Roeslein & Associates, Inc.’s Wellness Committee recently held its second annual blood drive. This year’s blood drive took place in its St. Louis office on March 24, 2016, and was through Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. The company donated 15 units of blood, around 6,750 ml, which will help save close to 45 lives.

The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) is a not-for-profit community blood center, which depends fully on the generosity of volunteer blood donors to fulfill  mission. They are the exclusive provider of blood products and services to 87 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin. The Blood Center is based in Davenport, Iowa, where MVRBC’s testing, processing and primary distribution center handles more than 250,000 units of blood components each year.

“We are happy that we can help out our community and those around us with such a simple act,” said Madeline Hammel, Roeslein’s Senior Buyer and this year’s blood drive coordinator. “Giving back is something we all enjoy and something Roeslein promotes. We hope to keep progressing and have an even bigger turnout next year.”
