After twenty-five years of dedicated work, Roeslein & Associates is a premier system integrator in the D&I canmaking industry. Roeslein is capable of executing complex engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and maintenance projects. In addition to its success and rapid growth, they have pioneered the use of a unitized and modular systems integration method, proven to deliver the fastest ROI in the industry. As a trusted global integrator, Roeslein’s presentation at this year’s LatamCan conference focused on Global Growth, Global Leadership.

LatamCan, the Latin American Canmakers Conference, is a three-day conference and tradeshow, which took place May 18-20, in Panama. LatamCan brought together metal packaging suppliers with regional canmakers; key people focused on the technical, operational and leadership areas of canmaking. At this year’s LatamCan show, Richard Smith, Roeslein’s Business Development Manager, gave a market assessment presentation on global growth and global leadership. His presentation translated published global consumer demand projections and trends into actionable objectives and challenges for canmakers and suppliers.

“The expo was very well attended, and we were fortunate to see many long-time friends and make new friends from the region,” said Richard Smith. He continued by saying, “The opportunity to share experiences around our table top exhibit and event gatherings is one of the things that makes the metal container industry great. It was an honor to present a market overview analysis at the conference. Attendees expressed gratitude for Roeslein’s perspectives.”

Smith, along with Roeslein’s Director of Can Technology Roger Baker, continued to represent Roeslein & Associates by exhibiting at the annual International Metal Decorators Association, also known as IMDA, in Oak Brook, IL, May 24-26, presenting a technical table top display. Similar to LatamCan, IMDA is a two-day conference providing attendees with seminars, technical, environmental and quality presentations; all of which is complemented with table top exhibits that display products and services that aid in the industry. In addition to the conference, IMDA hosts an annual Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing. This activity allows for the conference committee to award several scholarships each year to members, and family members, for secondary education expenses and for industry related seminars to further enhance the member’s trade knowledge.

When asked about his time at IMDA, Smith had this to say, “The opportunity to support our canmaking community via the scholarship golf outing is very much appreciated. In regards to the conference itself, the motivational speaker was Dodger great, Steve Garvey; his leadership presentation was entertaining and illumining. A number of presentations focused on consumer’s preference for beverage container trends and demands as well as innovations in metal decorating. I look forward to next year’s event.”
