Roeslein’s modular fabrication facility in Red Bud, IL achieved 500,000 hours worked without a lost time incident (LTI). Reaching this many logged hours, for any company, is a huge accomplishment. Roeslein recognizes it as a testament to its dedication, acknowledging that this is truly an accomplishment when considering the Red bud facility operates on two shifts a day,
five days a week, with an average of 180 workers on the work floor at one time.

Roeslein Acquires Pride Conveyance Systems

Roeslein & Associates, Inc. will acquire Pride Conveyance Systems in a mutually beneficial agreement taking place January 1, 2018.

The transaction is a natural progression for the two companies that have held a long standing relationship dating back over 30 years. Roeslein founder Rudi Roeslein worked with Pride founders Shannon Pride, Pat Jordan, and Ruben Padilla at Wiebe in the late 1980s. They left the company to pursue individual businesses with Roeslein focusing on the structural unitization and integration of complex beverage container plant process systems and Pride honing their expertise in the conveyance systems that transport product on the production lines.

Construction Users Roundtable presented Roeslein Employee an Award for Outstanding Service

While attending the CURT Offsite Construction Workshop on Nov. 15th, the CURT organization recognized Pete McCall, Business Development Manager at Roeslein & Associates, for his Outstanding Service and Devotion to the Construction Users Roundtable.

In response to the award McCall commented, “It has been a real privilege to work with the CURT Owners and other like-minded construction professionals involved in the newly formed Offsite Construction Committee. I’m looking forward to what new objectives we will focus on in 2018 and how Roeslein can support them.”

Supporting the Hurricane Recovery Efforts of the Greater Houston Community Foundation

Roeslein & Associates and Roeslein Alternative Energy are proud to support the response and recovery efforts of the Greater Houston Community Foundation for the Hurricane Harvey Relief. On August 5th, the Roeslein organizations announced that all employees who donate to the fund will have their gifts matched. After several weeks of fundraising efforts, employees from both companies donated a total of $3740. With the companies’ match, the Roeslein organizations will be contributing a total of $7,480 to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

Celebrating National ESOP Month

Roeslein & Associates is celebrating National ESOP Month as it nears the end of its fourth year as an employee-owned company. ESOP Month is an opportunity for ESOP companies across the U.S. to educate employee-owners and the public about the many ESOP benefits.

Roeslein’s employee ownership plan began on January 1, 2014 and has just over 300 employee-owners. In the first four years of being an ESOP company, Roeslein has seen a positive effect spread throughout its offices, as well as, a sense of ownership among its employee-owners. This momentum has pushed Roeslein towards many successes that include: record revenues, record profit sharing levels, employee growth within all divisions, and new customer acquisition across all market segments.

Bringing More Work In-house with a Bystronic Fiber Laser Cutting System

Roeslein & Associates recently made many significant investments at its modular fabrication facility in Red Bud, IL to increase its efficiencies and further its push for lean processes. With these investments came the purchase of a Bystronic BySmart 3015 Fiber 4K Laser Cutting System. This new system allows for additional work to be completed in-house that was previously outsourced while also allowing Roeslein more control of the quality and schedule.

Second line starts up at Can-Pack’s plant in the Netherlands

Production of beverage cans has started on a second line at Can-Pack SA’s newly-built plant in The Netherlands. That’s just five months after the first line started up at Helmond near Eindhoven and doubles capacity to two billion cans a year. The plant has been engineered by US-based Roeslein & Associates with the building being completed in October 2016.

An initial market survey was carried out by Ashmore Group with support of Nomis Consultancy in 2014. It found that with Pakistan’s increasing population and economic activity, coupled with the new ‘on-the-go’ lifestyle trend, especially amongst the younger generation, there was an increasing demand for beverage cans. The market in neighbouring Afghanistan was also developing. However, demand in both countries was being constrained by the need to import all the cans from the Middle East. Read more
